RED LIGHT THERAPY

LED/Infrared

Red light therapy is a painless treatment that involves having low-power red light wavelengths emitted directly through the skin. Red light therapy naturally stimulates your body’s ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate), a key element in cellular regeneration. It is a great way to aid in faster healing, immune boosting anti-ageing, mood enhancement, muscle recovery and much more.

Benefits of Red Light Therapy

  • Beneficial for chronic joint disorders; musculoskeletal disorders, healing of wounds, deeper tissues, and nerves; and to treat neurological disorders and pain.
  • Activates the lymphatic system, an important part of our immune system that helps carry waste out of the body
  • Increasing blood flow/circulation, thereby helping bring more oxygen and nutrients to our cells and tissues
  • Forms new capillaries (small blood vessels)
  • Increases collagen density and fibroblasts, reduces signs of wrinkles and fine lines, improves skin tone and texture, relieves rosacea and redness.
  • Repairs and restores damaged soft connective tissue
  • Lowers the effects of free radical damage, which contributes to premature aging
  • May reverse hair loss and stimulates follicle hair growth
  • Red light therapy (RLT) is used to treat ARTHRITIS symptoms as it stimulates collagen production and rebuilds cartilage. RLT may be considered for short-term treatment for relief of pain and morning stiffness for RA patients and patients with chronic neck pain.
  • Improves sleep quality and resets circadium rhythms which aids in the release of melatonin needed for healthy sleep.
  • Improves mood
Red light can be absorbed into the skin to a depth of about eight to 10 millimeters, at which point it has positive effects on cellular energy and multiple nervous system and metabolic processes.

How often should you do Red Light Therapy?

A general recommendation is to try this form of therapy consistently for about 2-3 months For best results, aim to complete 3-5 sessions per week for the first one to four weeks. Red light treatments take patience and responsiveness is expected to vary.

Risks & Side Effects

RLT is unlikely to cause side effects when used correctly.
